CAVIAR KITCHEN: RITUALS YOU MIX YOURSELF

Caviar Clinic is made to be blended. Here are our favourite recipes for every skin type, using the products already in your bathroom cabinet. Make each one fresh, use it straight away, and patch-test anything new on your inner arm for 48 hours first.

Measures: 1 drop of Caviar Oil ≈ 30 mg · 1 teaspoon of Caviar Extract = one level 5 ml measuring spoon [about 2–3 g; confirm by weighing]. Use Soluble Extract in water-based mixes such as toners and gels. Use Insoluble Extract in masks and pastes.

MIXING RULES

  • Never mix oil into sunscreen. Diluting SPF lowers its protection. Apply caviar first, let it sink in, then apply SPF on its own.

  • Mix in your palm, not the jar. Adding oil or extract to a product's container can break its preservation.

  • Make masks fresh. Use them within the hour and throw away what's left.

  • Patch test each new recipe on the inner arm for 48 hours.

  • One new thing at a time. Give each addition a week so you know what's working.

  • Contains fish. Not for anyone with a fish allergy.

  • Intact skin only. Avoid broken, freshly treated or newly tattooed skin.

TRENDS WE DON'T RECOMMEND

  • Lemon juice or apple cider vinegar masks — Acidity can irritate and sensitise skin

  • Baking soda scrubs — Too alkaline; disrupts the skin barrier

  • Toothpaste on spots — Irritating and not designed for skin

  • Neat essential oils — A common cause of irritation; caviar is unscented for a reason

  • Mixing caviar into strong acid peels — The oil can change how the peel spreads; use them on separate nights

  • Coffee-grounds face scrubs — Too abrasive for facial skin; keep them for the body
